LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge, attest to, and advocate against the continued occupation and exploitation of the Indigenous lands of Turtle Island – and more specifically the unceded territories of First Nations communities whose land has been stolen. We are committed to dismantling the settler colonial architecture that permeates our institutions, organizations, systems of governance, and pedagogies through education and advocacy, from Palestine to the Salish Sea.

WHO WE ARE

The Decolonise Palestine Collective (“DPC”) formed in October 2023 as a response to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. Organized through the collective efforts of an interdisciplinary group of scholars, DPC strives to engage informed analysis of colonial occupation, displacement, dispossession and strategies of resistance for students, educators, and the general public. Engaged in critical, feminist and anti-colonial modes of knowledge generation, DPC centers the viewpoints of marginalised scholars, activists, and advocates.
